This is my poster for Zuiddorpe:
I did it whith bright colours, because than the people look to it. I tried to let the restaurant be fel, and the other houses darker, so you really can see it goes about the restaurant. I think I did it well, and I liked the assignment.

My painting:
I think I did it good, but the lines of perspective can be beter, cause now you really can see that lines, and I don't like that. But I got a good feeling about it.

Johannes Itten & the Colourcircle















Johannes Itten

He's born on 11 November 1888 in Südern Linden. He learned for elementary school teacher. In 1908 he was a teacher and he goes to school. In 1919 he started to teach at Bauhaus. Bauhaus was a school for Art. He did that for 3 years. In 1926 he started to teach at the Private Artschool in Berlin. He end that in 1934. But at the same time he was director of the Testilfachschule in Krefeld. He started that in 1932 and end that in 1938. In that same year he started as director at the Kunstgewerbeschule and he moved to Amsterdam. In 1949 he begins as a director of the Museum Rietberg in Zurich. In 1955 he started as a free lance painter.

Secondary colours are colours that are created by mixing two primaries. Orange, violet & green are the secondary colours:


Tertiary Colours are colours that are mixed by primary and secondary colours:

Tints & Shades


If you mix primary, secondary or tertiary colours with white, you get new lighter colours: tints. If you mix primary, secondary or tertiary colours with black, you get new darker colours: shades.
